Lexington, KY - I lucked out a few years ago and found a wreath for our front door that wears like a great leather handbag. It doesn't age, it has withstood the harshness of changing weather, and best of all, it looks great in all seasons. Despite the practicality of such a versatile wreath, this season I began longing for an undeniably autumn wreath.
I soon found out these vibrantly hued beauties come with an equally vibrant price tag. Even local gift shops didn't come close my newly imagined fall wreath budget.
Thankfully, the bounty of great ideas online, as well as the ease of access to craft supplies nowadays, provided me the opportunity of creating two unique and whimsical autumn wreaths in one chilly fall afternoon for under $25.

This wreath is earthy, rugged and natural with a hint of whimsy. Not only is it cheap to make, it is a bit messy and a lot of fun, which is a prerequisite for any great craft project.
