Dublin, Ohio-based City Barbeque has announced plans to open a Lexington location, tentatively scheduled for June 18, according to a press release. This will be the second Kentucky location.
Since the first restaurant opened in 1999 in Columbus, Ohio, City Barbeque has garnered many awards, including being voted “Best Barbeque”in Columbus and Dayton, Ohio, and “Best Ribs” and “Best Pulled Chicken” in Cincinnati, as well as “Best Tailgate Fare” by Ohio Magazine.
The new 3,000-square-foot restaurant, located at 3292 Richmond Rd., will seat 82 indoors and have a large outdoor patio which can seat 84. Like the other City Barbeque locations, smokers have been installed and the barbecue will be cooked on-site. Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Mon. – Sat. and 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sun.
