Born into a musical family, her father is JP Pennington of the country hit-making band Exile… (she) has sung at a variety of other venues, with highlights including singing for the inaugurations of Mayor Jim Gray and Governor Steve Beshear, and singing the National Anthem for President George H. W. Bush. Recently Jessie has opened for Exile, as well as stand-up comedian Bo Burnham. Greatly influenced by artists Amy Winehouse, Paul McCartney, and Norah Jones, Jessie's sound is new and all her own."
