Lafayette High School's marching band took home the Class 5A 2012 state title under the direction of Chuck Smith over the past weekend. This honor was Lafayette's 17th title.
Paul Laurence Dunbar High School finished fourth in the same class.
Bands are judged on musical performance, visual performance and general effect.
