This year's 23rd annual H'Artful of Fun, a festive fundraiser for the Living Arts and Science Center, begins at 7 p.m. Feb. 9.
With its "Bollywood Bash" theme, the soiree will feature performances of Indian musicians and dancers, as well as dance performances inspired by the fusion of music and dance styles that make up the Bollywood genre. Performing at the Bollywood Bash, will be dancers and musicians of the Mecca Live Studio and Gallery, led by Teresa Tomb; and the Cardinal Bhangra Dancers of Louisville.
Traditional Indian art forms will be well represented through the large hand-made Rangoli murals throughout the event, as well as the 8-foot-tall elephant available for “rides”, and photographs, of course, by artist, Jim Shambu.
The food presented will create a unique experience, as well, with offerings from: a La Lucie, Catering by Donna Potter, The Club at Spindletop Hall, DaRae & Friends, Dupree Catering and Events, Good Foods Market & Café, Hilary Boone Faculty Center, Kentucky Horse Park, Louisiana Passion, Martine’s, Masala, Midway School Bakery, Missy’s Pies, Nova Gourmets, Seasons Catering & Special Occasions, Shorty’s, Sullivan University, Tandoor Fine Indian Cuisine and Tinker’s Cakes.
