The Actors Guild of Lexington's latest production, "Seminar," is set to open this weekend in the troupe's South Elkhorn Theatre.
"Seminar" follows four young writers: Kate, Martin, Douglas, and Izzy, and their professor, Leonard. Each student has paid Leonard $5,000 for a 10-week-long writing seminar to be held in Kate's Upper West Side apartment. As tensions rise and romance falls between students, they clash over their writing, their relations and their futures.
The production is directed by Chrisena Ricci and stars Thomas Gibbs, Geoffrey Blum, Hayley Williams, Sydney Turner and Marcus Roland. Actors Guild of Lexington Artistic Director Eric Seale did scenic design.
Opening night is 8 p.m. Feb. 28, and then the production will run at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, from March 1 through March 10.
The South Elkhorn Theatre is located at 4383 Old Harrodsburg Rd. For more information or tickets, visit www.actors-guild.org.
