A pilot project for "Art in the Park" will begin at noon Oct. 5 at Harrods Hill Park, on Ridgecane Road.
Music by Stone Cold Grass will begin at 4 p.m.; prior to the concert there will be other activities, such as inflatables and craft projects for kids.
The event is part of a new initiative by Councilmember Harry Clarke to increase the use of neighborhood parks in the 10th District. The program's success will rely on neighborhood organizations taking the lead with each installment, in conjunction with Parks and Recreation and the support of Neighborhood Development Funds.
The Harrods Hill Neighborhood Association is producing this upcoming event, with help from the parks department and a small grant from the city. The event is free and open to the public.
