Lexington, KY - Foreclosures and mortgage delinquencies in Fayette County were up in November, the most recent month analyzed by CoreLogic, a provider of consumer, financial and property information, analytics and services to business and government.
The rate of Lexington-Fayette area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans is 2.43 percent for the month of November 2011, compared to November of 2010 when the rate was 2.05 percent. On a year-over-year basis, the foreclosure rate in Lexington-Fayette increased 13.54 percent. Foreclosure activity in Lexington-Fayette, however, is lower than the national foreclosure rate which was 3.41 percent for November 2011.
Lexington-Fayette also experienced an increase in the mortgage delinquency rate. According to CoreLogic data for November 2011, 4.62 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared to 4.32 percent for the same period last year. On a year-over-year basis, the mortgage delinquency rate has increased 2.23 percent.
