Lexington, KY - Sales of residential homes in the Central Kentucky region rose 13.4 percent in October but the median residential sales price in October fell to $137,900, a year-to-year decline of 8.1 percent, according to the latest data from the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors (LBAR).
LBAR reports 473 residential sales closing in October, an increase from 417 closings in October 2010.
When sales of townhomes and condos are included in the numbers, sales rose 15.8 percent to 512 over the same period of 2010
In an indication that November could produce another round of positive numbers, LBAR said pending sales were up 28 percent during October. Inventory, meantime, is down 3.7 percent from last year for a total of 6,374 homes now on the market.
