Paul E. Scanlon has been named director of sales and marketing at PERMADOC Document Imaging and Solutions, a document management company in Nicholasville, Ky. Scanlon will continue his real estate career with Keller Williams Bluegrass Realty in Lexington.
Henry A. "Hank" Phillips has been appointed as deputy commissioner for the Kentucky Department of Travel and Tourism. Phillips most recently served as vice president of association management for AMR Management Services.

A. Robert Doll, 82, of Louisville, died on Sunday, Nov. 29 at Baptist Hospital East. He was former managing partner in the law firm of Greenbaum, Doll & McDonald. Doll also served as past president and director of YMCA, and a former trustee of Lincoln Trail Council-Boy Scouts of America. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Stanton Willis Doll; his son, August Robert Doll Jr., of Pendleton, Ky.; his daughter, Mary Angela Doll Dworin, of Louisville, Ky.; his sister, Audrey Doll Bates, of Roanoke, Va.; and his grandchildren Ruth Catherine Dworin and Brian Potts.
