NEW HIRES/PROMOTIONS
Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill has announced the appointment of Maynard Crossland as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. The Illinois native previously led the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency.
Central Bank has announced several promotions. Shawn Presnell has been appointed as vice president/financial planning. Tim Austin has been named assistant vice president/loan services. Diane Williams has been named client services officer, and Jared Paull has been named CRE officer. Also, Jordan Owens' new title was previously announced incorrectly. He is a commercial mortgage officer.
Nick Rowe has been named to lead American Water's Central Division. Rowe, who will be based in St. Louis, Mo., will lead the presidents of American Water operations in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missour and Tennessee.
The Downtown Lexington Corporation (DLC) has announced two new additions to its staff. Penny Ebel is now the vice president of special events and programs, and Devin Luckett is membership coordinator.
Edward A. Receski has been named the new member-in-charge of the Lexington office of Frost Brown Todd LLC. Former member-in-charge, Robert V. Sartin, recently relocated to the firm's Nashville office to expand the firm's presence in Nashville's automotive and transportation industries.
Bullhorn has recently hired Sommer Torabi as lead graphic designer.
Karen Keck has been named chief marketing officer for Innovative Mattress Solutions (iMS), a 100-plus store mattress retailer doing business as Mattress Warehouse and Sleep Outfitters in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

Ron Smith, long-time reporter/producer with WEKU-FM at Eastern Kentucky University, has received a national award for excellence in religion reporting from the Religion Newswriters Association. Smith earned a second-place award for radio and podcast reporting for a segment on young Muslims' efforts to improve Americans' perception of Islam.
