that Luther Deaton, Jr., chairman, president and CEO of Central Bank and Trust, has been elected chairman of its 2012 Board of Directors. Chairman-elect for 2012 is Jim Booth, president of Booth Energy, in Inez, Ky.

Dennis Miller, a furniture restoration specialist with Furniture Medic by Bluegrass Furniture Restoration, Inc., was recently recognized as the National Winner of the Furniture Medic Service Partner of the Year Award at the ServiceMaster and Furniture Medic International Convention held in Memphis, Tenn. Miller was one of only three individuals selected from over 30,000 employees across ServiceMaster franchises worldwide.
The Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau was honored by the Kentucky Tourism Industry Association with six awards at the organization's 2011 Excellence in Marketing Awards Gala, including four first place awards, one second place, and one honorable mention. The "Southern Starts Here" campaign series won first place awards in the Print Campaign and Television Adver-tisement divisions. The "Bluegrass Exclusive" microwebsite won a first-place award in the New Microwebsite category, and the 2011 Visitor Planning Guide won first place in the Print Visitor Guide category. A second place award was given for the Keeneland Concours E-Blast in the Direct Promo/Single Item, One Theme category and the LexTreks Historic Downtown Lexington video won honorable mention in the Promotional Video Category.
