Rob Rumpke has been named the new president/CEO of Bluegrass Tomorrow. Rumpke, who has served on the Bluegrass Tomorrow Board of Directors for the last eight years and has been its executive committee secretary, has been very involved in central Kentucky's regional development initiatives over the last decade.
The Hope Center is pleased to announce two new employees. Mark Kornechuk is the coordinator of the Hope Center's Detention Center Recovery Program. Hannah Jackson is the Hope Center's housing support caseworker.
Group CJ has appointed Joel Villaflor as vice president of Group CJ. Villaflor first worked with Connie Miller when each launched businesses in the '80s, sharing office space first on Mill Street then Old Vine.

The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation has selected Susan Yackzan as the 2008 Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse of the Year. Yackzan won the award for her significant contributions to oncology nursing and oncology nursing service and for supporting and promoting certification in oncology nursing.
Carl Tackett, a REALTORÆ with the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORSÆ (LBAR), is the first Kentucky graduate from the National Association of REALTORSÆ' (NAR) Leadership Academy. The academy was formed to identify, inspire and mentor emerging REALTORÆ leaders. The academy launched in August of 2007 and concluded at the association's May Midyear meetings in Washington, D.C.
Joni Johnson, director of bereavement services for Hospice of the Bluegrass, has been appointed to serve on the board of the National Alliance for Grieving Children.
The YMCA of Central Kentucky honored Judge William Neal Cassidy with The Red Triangle Award, which is the group's top recognition for a volunteer whose actions exemplify the YMCA triangle of spirit, mind and body. Cassidy has been involved with the YMCA for more than 15 years and has been instrumental to its growth in Jessamine County. The YMCA also awarded its Spirit, Mind, Body Award to Dave McLean, a professional musician and a YMCA guitar instructor who has helped build the YMCA of Central Kentucky's guitar program into the largest in the country.
University of Kentucky President Lee T. Todd Jr. has been elected as president of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Executive Committee for 2008-09. Todd, president of UK since 2001, is completing a term as vice president of the league's executive committee, which oversees the commissioner's office and staff.
