The most recent design for the planned 10-story CenrePointe office building. The first floor of the building is slated to house a retail banking center for Republic Bank.
Lexington, KY – The planned 10-story office building at CentrePointe will have a first floor tenant in Republic Bank.
The building, set to be completed in early June of next year, will host a first floor retail banking location for Republic Bank a release from the Louisville-based bank states. The new location will be the company’s fifth in Lexington and 43rd overall.
In an interview earlier Tuesday, Ken Michul executive VP of leasing, brokerage and operations for the Webb Companies – CentrePointe’s developer – said half of the office building’s 10 floors were spoken for, including this space slated to house Republic.
"We are excited about opening a full service banking center in downtown Lexington,” said Republic’s Lexington market president Bo Henry. “We look forward to making many new friends and serving our existing clients in this growing area of town."
The downtown retail location will offer full-service personal and business banking along with a 24-hour ATM, an after-hours night depository and safe deposit boxes. In addition, the office will house private banking, treasury management and commercial lending officers, a release from Republic states.
The new branch will necessitate the hiring of up to six new employees, Henry said in a phone interview. Also the market's senior management team will relocate from offices on Alumni to the new banking center downtown.
"It's a meaningful presence," Republic Bank Chairman and CEO Steve Trager told Business Lexington.
In addition to 33 locations in Kentucky, Republic has banking centers in southern Indiana, Florida, Ohio and Tennessee.
