Nicholasville-based animal nutrition leader Alltech announced the purchase of United Kingdom-based firm E-CO2 Project Limited, which provides environmental assessments and mitigation programs for livestock operations.
“The acquisition of E-CO2 underscores Alltech’s long-term commitment to strong, sustainable global agriculture, as well as to food quality and safety for an expanding population,” Alltech president Dr. Pearse Lyons said in a statement.
The company, now known as Alltech E-CO2, will continue to provide services aimed at reducing farm operations’ carbon footprint while boosting efficiency and productivity.
A purchase price was not disclosed.
