Amazon announced Thursday it plans to add more than 100 full-time jobs at its Lexington fulfillment centers.
“The new jobs Amazon is providing will improve the lives of many families in Lexington and in the central Kentucky region,” Mayor Jim Gray said in a statement released by Amazon.
Amazon officials said the new jobs reflect the retail giant’s need to meet growing customer demand and that the positions being added come on top of many seasonal jobs that were converted to full-time after the holiday rush.
For its regular, full-time fulfillment center positions, Amazon offers competitive hourly wages and a benefits package, including healthcare, 401(k) and company stock awards.
