Tickets for the 2015 Breeders’ Cup World Championships are set to go on sale to the general public at noon March 4.
Because of strong demand, race organizers are opening ticket sales three months earlier than usual for the event, which will be held for the first time at Keeneland Race Course on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30 and 31. Roughly 50 percent of available tickets for this year’s event will be released for sale to the general public, both online at Breederscup.com or by calling the ticket office at 877-TIX-4CUP.
The ticket packages include a wide range of options across the Keeneland campus. The ticket cost for general admission only, including access to the first-floor level of the Grandstand grounds with no reserved seats, is listed at $40 for Friday and $60 for Saturday. Multiple reserved seating and dining packages also are available, with prices ranging from $140 to $475 for one-day admission or $295 to $1,225 for a two-day package. Detailed ticketing information is available on the Breeders’ Cup website, www.breederscup.com.
Breeders’ Cup and Keeneland are investing $5 million in the creation of more premium seating options for the event.
“Being able to host the 2015 Breeders’ Cup World Championships is an incredible honor,” said Bill Thomason, president and CEO of Keeneland. “The Breeders’ Cup has established itself as one of the most competitive and impressive racing events in the world. Keeneland and the Breeders’ Cup share a goal to provide our guests with extraordinary customer service, which, coupled with Keeneland’s iconic setting and rich racing tradition, will make for a truly unique patron experience.”
Tickets will be limited to a maximum of six tickets per person, and all tickets will be sold in advance of the event, with no walk-up sales available on either day.
On-site parking at Keeneland will be limited to those with official parking credentials, but the Breeders’ Cup plans to provide shuttle service for a nominal fee from the Kentucky Horse Park and Whitaker Bank Ballpark. More information on transportation will be announced at a later date.
