Dean Dorton Allen Ford, PLLC has announced plans to merge with Lexington-based CPA and advisory firm of Barr Anderson & Roberts, PSC, effective January 1. The new firm will operate as Dean Dorton.
“Barr Anderson & Roberts has had tremendous growth throughout the past 39 years since our start as Barr and Taylor in 1976,” said Christopher Anderson, current president and shareholder of Barr Anderson & Roberts, in a release announcing the merger. “With the combination of developing client needs and continuous growth, it was critical for us to find a way to continue providing high-quality service efficiently and effectively while providing clients with additional value through a broader range of specialty capabilities, advice and solutions.”
Anderson also noted that the merger will provide additional opportunities for the company’s employees and referral partners.
The addition of BAR and their team helps us to better serve our growing practice,” said David Bundy, president and CEO of Dean Dorton. “We are enthusiastic about continuing the high level of service and expertise BAR has provided its notable client base.”
Barr Anderson & Roberts PSC is one of Lexington’s oldest accounting firms, in its second generation of ownership. The firm was founded by Garland Barr II and S. Dudley Taylor in 1976.
