The University of Kentucky will host its 27th Annual Economic Outlook Conference in downtown Lexington on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
The event will feature speaker Mark E. Schweitzer, senior vice president of external outreach and regional analytics for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, to discuss the Federal Reserve’s current perspective on the economy. In addition, Christopher Bollinger, director of UK’s Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) and Gatton Endowed Professor of Economics, will discuss the economic outlook for the region in 2016.
Addition speakers will include Gatton College’s director of graduate studies and professor of economics Jenny Minier, to discuss international effects on the Kentucky economy and Fayette County’s property valuation administrator David O’Neill, to talk abut real estate in the Bluegrass region and across Kentucky.

The annual event, to be held at the Lexington Convention Center from 8 a.m. to noon, is hosted by the Don and Cathy Jacobs Executive Education Center at UK’s Gatton College of Business and Economics, along with CBER. Presenting sponsors include Commerce Lexington and the Lane Report.
The registration fee for the event is $115, and includes continental breakfast and all materials. Discounts are available for groups of five or more. Early registration is recommended and can be completed online at the Gatton College Executive Education Center website.
