Cabela's will officially open the doors to its new 72,000-square-foot Lexington store on Wednesday in the new Hamburg Place II retail development, near Interstate 75 and Man o’ War Boulevard.
The store, which specializes in hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, has been designed to provide customers with an immersive experience, including wildlife displays and museum-quality taxidermy mounts, an aquarium and an indoor archery range. The store will also feature its own express cafe and Gun Library.
The grand opening festivities are scheduled to begin at 7 a.m., with giveaways, trivia games and musical performances. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9:45 a.m., with the store scheduled to open its doors to the public at 10 a.m. The grand opening celebration will continue with additional giveaways and family activities planned through the weekend.
The Lexington store will be Cabela’s third location in Kentucky, along with established stores in Louisville and Bowling Green. The store, which is located at 1510 Conservation Way, will be open Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday; and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
