In anticipation of a busy upcoming 40th anniversary year, Rupp Arena will host a Job Fair on June 25 to fill more than 300 seasonal positions for the 2016-17 event season starting in October.
Available positions will include jobs in departments such as security, guest services, parking, concessions and ticketing. In the past, many seasonal Rupp workers have taken their positions as part-time secondary employment and returned for multiple seasons, according to a Lexington Center official.
“This is a great opportunity for energetic individuals to supplement their current income because the event schedule is somewhat sporadic and many of the events take place in the evening, outside regular business hours,” said Carl Hall, director of arena management. “Many of our part-time seasonal workers are professionals who enjoy being part of the energy and excitement of live entertainment and also enjoy that extra paycheck.”
The upcoming job fair will be held on Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rupp Arena’s High Street entrance. Applicants must be 18 years or older and will be subject to a background check.
Applicants are also encouraged to go to the Rupp Arena website at www.rupparena.com/jobs to fill out an application to bring to the job fair. For those unable to attend the event, applications may be submitted online at www.rupparena.com/about-lexington-center/employment.
