As part of a recent corporate restructuring, Big Ass Solutions has laid off 39 employees, or roughly three percent of its workforce. The company employs a global staff of 1,067.
“Year over year, Big Ass Solutions has grown in double-digit percentages in both revenue and number of employees. This year alone we hired more than 190 employees and, unfortunately, we found ourselves staffed incorrectly for our current and future needs,” said Jon Bostock, chief operating officer for Big Ass Solutions, in a company statement on the layoffs. “As a result, 3 percent of our workforce was released during a company-wide restructuring to ensure continued growth.”
“Our strategy will carry the company on an aggressive growth trajectory into brand new product categories and markets in the coming years. These include the opening of new retail and distribution centers throughout the U.S., and new headquarters in Europe and Asia,” Bostock said.
