Starting October 29, Delta Air Lines will provide daily nonstop service from Blue Grass Airport to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
The service, which was previously offered seasonally from June through October to Blue Grass Airport travelers, will provide more than 60 onward connections to more than 45 destinations.
“Once again, Delta Air Lines has shown a tremendous investment in the Lexington community by enhancing air service routes for our travelers and providing convenient access to global markets,” said Eric Frankl, executive director of Blue Grass Airport, in a release announcing the new service. “As a hub city, Minneapolis-St Paul provides a great connection point for those passengers traveling westbound as well as to Canada, Japan and other international and domestic destinations. Our business community, in particular those seeking access to Tokyo, will find this flight beneficial.”
An upgraded regional aircraft, which will feature additional seats, a two-class cabin, Wi-Fi and free onboard entertainment, will be used for this nonstop flight starting on August 28. Passengers will be able to opt for premium service with first-class seating and amenities.
The route is tentatively scheduled to depart Lexington at 9 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) with an arrival time in Minneapolis at 10:15 a.m. (Central Time) beginning October 29. The return trip will depart from Minneapolis at 7:40 p.m. (Central Time) with an arrival time in Lexington at 10:39 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
