2010 Fourth of July Festival
June 30 - July 3
This year, you don't have to wait for July 4 to start celebrating America's independence -
Lexington Fourth of July Festival planners will kick off the event with the Great American Pie Contest & Ice Cream Social on June 30 and will wrap up the festival with the boisterous Red, White and Boom! party on July 3.
Aside from the annual fireworks show, the downtown festival also features a host of other events that are just as anticipated, such as the Bluegrass 10,000 and CD Central and Local First Lexington's "Independent Music on Independence Day" series of concerts at Phoenix Park.
This year the festival will have an entirely new design as vendors, who in past years were set up on Vine Street, will be located on Short and Limestone Streets, as well as in Phoenix and Cheapside Parks and the Courthouse Plaza.
For information on having a float in the parade or being an artisan vendor, visit the festival's website at www.lexingtonky.gov or call (859) 258-3100.
For information on registering for the Bluegrass 10,000, call their offices at (859) 288-2946.
