This Friday, in celebration of the University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball team’s 17th trip to the Final Four, popular Chevy Chase cajun food joint Bourbon n’ Toulouse will once again open its doors for what they are dubbing an “almost annual Friday Final Four Party.”
With past themes having included “Jorts Day,” “Unibrow Day” and “BBN Day,” this year’s theme is “40-0 Day,” honoring widespread hopes for a perfect 40-0 Wildcats season. The restaurant will donate 40% of Friday’s sales to God’s Pantry Food Bank, and the same percentage of local craft beer sales from the next-door bar Chevy Chase Inn – recently acquired by Bourbon ‘N Toulouse owners Kevin Heathcoat and Will Pieratt along with neighboring business owner Bill Farmer – will benefit Broke Spoke Community Bike Shop.

Under its new ownership, The Chevy Chase Inn will experience several updates, including the addition of craft beers to the beer selection. Owner Will Pieratt says, “CCI will begin featuring some of the great craft beers that Lexington has to offer, and we think there is not a better way to get started than by drinking some for a great cause.”

Run entirely by volunteers, Broke Spoke is a bike shop whose mission, as stated on their website, is “to provide better access to better bicycles for all people and to empower individuals to perform their own bicycle maintenance.” God’s Pantry aims to alleviate hunger in the community.
“We are honored to partner with both groups,” said Heathcoat. “This town is about to burst with excitement and we just want to add a little more to that while giving fans a chance to help out a couple great causes at the same time.”
The Chevy Chase Inn will open at noon on Friday to provide extra seating for Cats fans from Bourbon n’ Toulouse.
