Keeneland is widely known as a world class venue for equine events, but since 2004 an entirely different variety of horsepower has called the historic race course home for one weekend each year.
The Keeneland Concours d’Elegance, a weekend of events culminating with an annual exposition showcasing fine automobiles, returns July 16-18, 2015, with renowned Italian automaker Maserati – celebrating the company’s centennial – as the featured marque.
The exposition, which takes place at Keeneland on Saturday, July 18, will include everything from historic and classic to odd and eccentric. Classics include several early 20th century models such as Ford, Dodge, and Pierce Arrow. The Lane Motor Museum’s features will include a 1934 Aero 30 Convertible and a 1994 Hobbycar B612 amphibious sport utility vehicle, complete with jet drive propulsion for water travel. The event will also host a European performance sports class featuring Porsche and Jaguar. If speed is your need, race cars from Duesenberg and Audi LeMans will be on display.
A 2015 Porsche Boxster will be raffled off, with proceeds to benefit Kentucky Children’s Hospital.
