Ringing in the New Year with a champagne toast is tradition. This champagne cocktail, infused with gin and lemon, is tradition with a twist – satisfying the desire for bubbly while elevating the experience through classic cocktail culture. The result is a refreshing, elegant drink that’s good any day of the year.
Serve in a champagne flute or coupe cocktail glass. (Since there is a shaken element to the cocktail, the coupe is more proper.) Serves two.
Ingredients:
• 4 ounces champagne
• 2 ounces gin
• 1 ounce lemon juice
• 1 ounce simple syrup
• Ice cubes
• Lemon twists for garnish
Directions:
In a cocktail shaker add ice, gin, lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake vigorously to chill. Strain into two glasses. Top off with champagne and garnish with a lemon twist.
