139 Sound WRFL Present: Andrea Cornell and Aaron Rosenblum
For the July installment of 193 sound, we bring two Louisville based sound artists working with field recordings and processed instrumentation to create enveloping sound environments.
Andrea-Jane Cornell is an improviser and composer from Montréal, Quebec, Canada blending found sound, radio waves, objects, and instruments to build unstable flows of sound. Her most recent release is a collaboration with spoken word from Tim Darcy on the NNA Tapes label.
Aaron Rosenblum has been a part of the US underground for nearly 15 years- playing with the groups Son of Earth and Sapat and collaborating with members of Wooden Wand, Sunburned Hand of the Man and Blues Control. He plays violin, guitar, tapes, and found objects to create a unique and hypnotizing style of electro-acoustic Americana.
