10th Annual Bluegrass International Cup Polo
Teach For America-Appalachia and Whole Foods are co-hosting this art festival to celebrate local artists and the rich artistic tradition of the region. Over 15 artisans for Eastern Kentucky – authors, storytellers, potters, jewelers, painters, photographers, quilters, woodworkers, and craftspeople – will showcase and sell their work, and Kentucky Proud food growers and producers will also be offering samples.
Teach For America has been a partner to public schools in Eastern Kentucky since 2011, and this year has 40 teachers leading high-need classrooms in the region and another 170 alumni working locally from inside and outside the classroom to ensure kids growing up in poverty have access to the opportunity they deserve.
This event was organized by Teach for America staff members in partnership with Whole Foods as a thank you to the community and to celebrate some of the things that make the region a great place to call home.
