The Kentucky Book Festival takes place Saturday, Nov. 1, and is hosting a series of activities in the week leading up to the main event.
On Friday, Oct. 31, An Evening of the Everlys will feature music and literature about Kentucky's own Everly Brothers at 7 p.m. at Joseph-Beth Booksellers. Master storyteller and musician Michael Jonathan and acclaimed author Barry Mazor will explore the blood harmony of the brothers who became legendary pop, country and rock-n-roll artists. Learn more about what it took to rise from Brownie, Kentucky, to international stardom. Copies of Blood Harmony: The Everly Brothers Story will be available for sale and signing at the event.
Visit kybookfestival.org for more details, including a full list of 150 participating authors on Saturday, Nov.1 along with details on a free book giveaway for children up to age 14, event sponsors, panels, discussions and activities of interest.
