The National Register of Historic Places inventory summarizes: “Shortly before World War I, Hampton Court was developed on the old Orphan Asylum site between Third and Fourth Streets east of Jefferson. It boasted some of the earliest and most luxurious apartment buildings in the city, as well as single-family dwellings both large and small.”
Gather at 5:30 p.m. at 101 Hampton Court and begin the deTour at 5:45 p.m.
Please note there will be NO PARKING available on Hampton Court, but plenty can be found on neighboring streets: 3rd, 2nd, 4th, Jefferson, & BGT lots @ 210 N. Broadway & 201 N. Mill. More details to follow. CARPOOLING IS ENCOURAGED.
