Drake’s “Big Willy Mac” Maker’s Mark / Rhinegeist beer release
Drake’s is releasing Big Willy Mac, the first-of-its-kind barrel-aged beer made in collaboration with Rhinegeist and Maker’s Mark at a special edition of Takeaway Tuesday on November 1 at 6pm.
The beer was aged for seven months in a special bourbon barrel selected through the Maker’s Mark Private Select Barrel Program. The resulting brew has noticeable vanilla and caramel notes, as well as a faint alcohol note, all from the barrel-aging. This is the first time a bourbon was designed specifically with a barrel-aged beer in mind.
Specialty glassware will be available as long as supplies last – attendees are encouraged to arrive at 6pm.
