In honor of Women's Equality Day 2018, Breaking the Bronze Ceiling presents a special free screening of "Suffragette," a historical period drama film about women's suffrage, starring Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter, Brendan Gleeson, Anne-Marie Duff, Ben Whishaw, and Meryl Streep. Rated PG-13. Sponsored by Community Trust Bank and the Women’s Executive Leadership Development Program (WELD).
The evening's emcee will be WKYT's award-winning news anchor, Amber Philpott, and the event will include a special appearance by The Suffrage Choir of Central Kentucky and a proclamation by Mayor Jim Gray.
Doors open at 6:30 pm and the movie will begin at 7:00 pm.
