Gratz Park, the Heart of Historic Lexington

A free prentation by Dr Jeremy Popkin, retired chair of the UK history department,of the 250 years of Lexington's history with Gratz Park being the stage for many significant events throughout its history. Slavery, Confederate occupation of Lexington, Jim Crow, Transylvania, being the Athens of the West and more, presented in an entertaing and informative manner. Mayor Gorton will introduce the event. There will be a book signing for the new book Gratz Park, the Heart of Historic Lexington.
