Hometown Screening of “Neat: The Story of Bourbon”
ALSO SHOWING AT 9:55PM.
Filmmakers, VIP supporters of the film and those in the bourbon industry that served as the cast in the feature length documentary will be present at this hometown screening of “Neat: The Story of Bourbon,” a documentary that dives into the rich and storied world of bourbon. Exploring its colorful history, charismatic characters, and uniquely American process, the film is a celebration of the time, artistry, and relationships that make for America’s only native spirit. It is a cinematic look at bourbon that the Los Angeles Times said “makes you want to stop what you are doing, grab a bottle, and run outside.”
The film is produced by local Lexington composer AJ Hochhalter who composed music for the Sundance Grand Jury winner, “Blood Brother” (2013) and the Oscar nominated film ”Body Team 12” (2015), as Lexington businessmen Corey Maple and Gannon Diggs.
“NEAT” also features Kentuckian Steve Zahn, whom viewers will recognize starred in the new “War for The Planet of The Apes” earlier this summer.
Limited general admission tickets will be available to the general public for the 8:15 pm showing on a first come first serve basis with an encore screening at 9:55pm.
Tickets are available at The Kentucky Theatre’s box office and website as well as on showclix.com.
