The Kentucky Book Festival is a six-day literary celebration presented by the Kentucky Humanities Council. Formerly taking place in Frankfort and known as the Kentucky Book Fair, the event moved to Lexington in 2017 where it has expanded to feature six days of readings, cocktail parties, trivia and more, highlighting Kentucky's vibrant community of contemporary writers. The event kicks off on Nov. 12 with an event at the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning focusing on "New Kentucky Poetry and Prose" and culminates with a fair at the Lexington Convention Center on Nov. 17 featuring dozens of Kentucky authors selling and discussing their books.
