The Lexington Community Orchestra (LCO) will present an afternoon of classical music at 3:00pm on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Frederick Douglass High School (originally scheduled at Bryan Station High School -- please note location change!).
The program, entitled “Passions,” features music from the late Romantic period of classical music, including Jean Sibelius’s Karela Overture, Maurice Ravel’s Pavane for a Dead Princess and Pyotr IlyichTchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 (also called “Pathetique” or “The Passionate Symphony.”) The woodwind and brass musicians will be featured in a performance of Paul Dukas’s Fanfare pour La Peri.
This concert is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is suggested as seating is limited.
