Lexington Community Radio Amazing Radio Race
In celebration of their first station, WLXL-LPFM/95.7, going on air, Lexington Community Radio is making a big splash with a scavenger hunt through Lexington’s North End called the Amazing Radio Race.
Newly trained volunteer DJs will broadcast clues over the brand new signal and everyone is invited to participate in the hunt. When hunters arrive at the last stop – LCR’s studio at the Lexington STEAM Academy – they’ll be greeted with a celebration featuring prizes, free food from Gumbo Ya Ya, music, the opportunity to be heard on air and more.
Registration for the hunt takes place at 10 a.m. at BCTC’s Newtown Pike campus (500 Newtown Pike) and the last stop is at LCR’s studios at STEAM Academy (123 E. 6th St.).
