Message Theater (one of Lexington's African American Theater companies) has been representing the African American experience in the theater community for over thirty years.Written by Patrick J. Mitchell, "The Waiting Room" is a story about an existential journey for psychiatrist Dr. Keith Griffin to find the meaning of his life while encountering new patients that wander into his office.

Audiences will be enthralled by this powerful story and the performances of this diverse cast under the direction of Joe Ferrell.
