The University Press of Kentucky celebrates its 75th anniversary with company with good company: the Fayette County Cooperative Extension of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. Collectively, the two organizations present Kentucky Proud Evenings, a series of monthly author talks.
This month, Milton Toby discusses "Taking Shergar."
In the book, award-winning author Milton Toby tells the infamous story of the theft of the renowned Irish Thoroughbred stallion, Shergar, through conspiracy theories, possible suspects, and other details from the unsolved case.
Each of these events will occur at 6:00 pm at the Fayette County Extension Office (1140 Harry Sykes Way, Lexington). Plate it Up! Kentucky Proud food samples will be available for those attending. Reserve your spot at a talk by calling the Fayette County Extension Office (859-257-5582). Copies of the book being discussed will be available for sale at the events.
