The Moon Festival

In addition to other Chinese and American food items, there will be free samples of moon cakes for everyone attending. For a small charge, folks may taste 5-10 different varieties of moon cakes before buying some of his/her choice. Visitors will also have a chance to learn about the legends and traditions associated with the festival, find out how to make the moon cakes, interact with Chinese Americans at various cultural displays or participate in the Chinese folk dances, or other fun activities. There will also be a contest for drawings and essays about the Moon Festival for school children.
