In conjunction with the Georgetown / Scott County Tourism Commission and Kentucky Proud, the popular Georgetown restaurant Local Feed will present a monthly dinner series called “Seed to Feed” from July through October.
This inaugural dinner series will consist of four events in unique locations throughout Georgetown, featuring complementary décor and menus prepared by top chefs from the region. The dinners will consist of approximately five courses that will be paired with local beers, wines or bourbons when appropriate. Music, silent auctions, art, etc. may also be included at some dinners.

July Seed to Feed Dinner Series - Kentucky Horse Park, July 15 at 7 p.m. For this installment of the Scott Country Seed to Feed series, chef Jacob Coronado of the chic 8Up Elevated Drinkery and Kitchen in Louisville will prepare a multi-course meal, with all of the meat and vegetables coming entirely from Scott County farms. The dinner will benefit the Farms to Food Bank participant Amen House.
August Seed to Feed Dinner Series - Yuko-En Garden on the Elkhorn, August 12 at 7 p.m. The Japanese-inspired Yuko-En Garden will have the feel of an upscale cocktail party with chef stations, craft drinks, and opportunities to mingle at Yuko-En Garden during this second installment of the inaugural Seed-to-Feed dinner series. Proceeds will go toward the landscaping and upkeep of the Garden. Julian Stone, LocalFeed sous chef, will be the guest chef.
Seed to Feed Dinner Series - Ward Hall, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. Kentucky Traditions will embrace the history of Kentucky’s food and spirits at Ward Hall in an elegant backyard garden party by guest chef, Jonathan Searle, chef at Lockbox at the 21c Museum Hotel in Lexington.
Seed to Feed Dinner Series - Old Friends Retired Thoroughbred Farm, October 6, 7 p.m. For the final event in the Seed to Feed Dinner Series, Old World at Old Friends Retired Thoroughbred Farm will kick off the autumn racing season, taking place the day before Keeneland’s Fall meet on October 6. The cuisine will be prepared using Old World techniques by Patrick Roney, chef at Harvest in Louisville.
All Seed to Feed events will begin at 7 p.m.; ticket prices range from $60-100.
