The Kentucky Arts Council is highlighting a new honor and details about musical acts set for its premier arts event, Kentucky Crafted: The Market.
The annual spring show focuses on fine arts, crafts, literature food and music. This year’s event will be held March 7 and 8 at the Lexington Convention Center.
The nonprofit Southeast Tourism Society recently named Kentucky Crafted among its Top 20 events for March.
“The fact that (Kentucky Crafted has) more than 200 artists and offer(s) a wide variety of art and craft has caught our adjudicators' attention," William T. Hardman, president and CEO of the Southeast Tourism Society, said in a statement.
The Arts Council also announced a slate of performers for its Kentucky Stage Music Festival, which runs concurrent with the arts show. Performers include a variety of acts from bluegrass and Appalachian to world and Americana.
More than 200 producers are expected to participate in the year’s Kentucky Crafted: The Market, which is celebrating its 33rd year.
