Lexington, KY - A new-look apartment building has been revealed for CentrePointe by Atlanta-based CMMI architects.
Though the latest set of drawings presented in August to the Courthouse Area Design Review Board were done by Lexington's EOP Architects, CMMI has taken over as lead designer since EOP pulled out last month.
The designs were released by city officials late Wednesday in advance of the October 9, meeting of the design review board which has say over construction design in a close proximity to Lexington's historic courthouse.
Though met with a tepid reception, the latest design was approved in August pending updates to an apartment building fronting Main Street that will house around 60 one-bedroom and 40 two-bedroom apartments. (Photo Gallery On The Next Page)
The new design for the Main Street building shows features requested by the design review board that are aesthetic in nature. It also includes detail of retail space at street level for the building.
CentrePointe Developer Dudley Webb said he hopes to have a groundbreaking for the project's 700-space, below-ground parking garage late this month.
