The new Kroger supermarket on Euclid Avenue is about to get some company in the form of a nearby commercial development.
Equity Management is planning to build a 9,600-square-foot development at Euclid and Marquis Avenue that will house retail and restaurant space, said Jason Taylor, Equity asset manager for development and leasing. The site, which once had three houses, is being cleared.
“We are excited to compliment the Kroger store with a first-class development,” Taylor said.
Taylor said work on the development will begin in April or May, with an opening target date of late summer or early fall. The development with have four or five tenants, Taylor said.
“We have solid interest from many [potential] users,” Taylor said, adding it was too early to disclose possible tenants.
