Lexington, KY - In 2011, the Lexington Philharmonic will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The coming season, which includes the "Classics Series," as well as a host of other programs, boasts sensational international soloists and local and regional artists, classic orchestrations and holiday favorites, and one world premiere.
Along with the Classics Series, the Lexington Philharmonic has a number of other programs, including the Family Series, Peanut Butter and Jelly Series and the new Kicked-Back Classics Series, a casual one-hour program with conversations with conductor Scott Terrell and guest artists and performances. Holiday Spectacular. 8 p.m. Dec. 10. Singletary Center for the Arts. The best talents from the Lexington community join in for a yuletide sing-along event.
