The performance arm of the Kentucky Classical Theatre Conservatory, SummerFest is an impressive production of outdoor theatre for three weeks every July. While taking cues from various outdoor Shakespeare festivals around the country, SummerFest has traditionally featured at least one production from The Bard every year since it began in 2007.
This year's lineup has been dubbed a "monster season," with productions of Shakespeare's "Richard III," Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" (adapted for stage by Bo List) and the rock opera "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" scheduled this summer. Visit the organization's website for ticket information.
July 6 - 10 "Richard III"
July 13 - 17 "Frankenstein"
July 20 - 24 "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
