Join Lee Carroll's C The Beat for an evening of exciting new music at Lexington's most intimate performance space, the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center Black Box. They've spent the last 12 months writing and recording at Lexington Recording Company, it's time to share the music with you.
A leaner group (formerly Ethos), C The Beat has evolved into a rhythm driven quintet, and improvisational juggernaut. Taking cues from the rhythm of Africa, we’re exploring the dialog between Africa and the New World. From Cuban Salsa and New Orleans R&B to Reggae and Funk, down home Soul Jazz to 70s movie soundtracks and lush ballads. To play this range of the music is challenging and exhilarating.
Seasoned professional musicians, as comfortable in the studio as on stage, let me introduce C The Beat.
