Modern Art Discussion
Artists Camilla Huey and Gaela Erwin will join Jim Clark, Executive Director of Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate, and Alice Gray Stites, 21c Museum Director and Chief Curator, for a panel discussion on costuming in contemporary art at 6 p.m.
Both artists are currently featured in exhibitions in Lexington. Gaela Erwin’s Self-Portrait as a Saint is included in the inaugural exhibition at 21c Lexington, Dress Up, Speak Up: Costume and Confrontation. Designer and artist Camilla Huey’s The Loves of Aaron Burr: Portraits in Corsetry and Binding is the first exhibit of contemporary art shown at the historic Ashland Estate.
