The UK Art Museum aims to promote the understanding and appreciation of art to enhance the quality of life for people in Kentucky through collecting, exhibiting, preserving and interpreting works of visual art from all cultures. The museum is home to a collection of more than 4,8000 objects including but not limited to American and European painting, drawings, photographs, prints, and sculptures. It presents both special exhibitions and also shows work from its permanent collection.
